Clara Kress I'm glad you're saying this. I'm right around 150 pages and it is moving painstakingly slow. I didn't know if it was me or if everyone else felt like this. I don't want to give up but I've been close. However, seeing that you felt the same at first, I'll power through!

Phorc Ewe I'm about at page 50 now and annoyingly pissed off! It feels like I'm listening to 12 people tell 100 micro-stories all at once. Ready to abandon it, but since y'all are saying it improves, I'll keep at it for a bit. (I hate to, and rarely, abandon books...)

Wayfarer My sentiments exactly. I read a lot of books in *pdf format in recent years and when a book is good and to my liking, I save it as you never know when I might wish to reread it. When it’s bad or at least not to my liking, I delete it. And every once in a long while I stumble upon a book that I have no strength to go through at all. Around page 50 I was merely once click away from abandoning and deleting Catch-22 for good. Somehow I didn’t, and now that I finished the book, I am glad I didn’t. Now I am one click away from saving it.
