I finished the book for a second time in a week - it all had to be re-read - and I'm still trying to come up with a review that does it justice - but here's the one thing: IMNSHO, Damon crossed a line that keeps him from being redeemed. At least without his dying at the end. Do you get where I'm coming from and do I have a point?
*sniffs, sniffs* Is that a challenge I smell, Scott-Robert? I could be wrong, but I think that's what I smell. ;) We shall see, my friend. We shall see.
