Reading Anne of Green Gable again I remembered that Cordelia was her dream figure of herself. And both being tall and red-headed, I wondered if that might have been an inspiration?

I am now (at age 77!) finally reading ALL of LM Mongomery's books. There is an e-book collection containing the Anne books, other novels, and short stories (I am still reading through the 8 Anne books.) I loved Anne of Green Gables as a child, but had never read any of the sequels. Great fun!
