Oh...... okay so I was supposed to think about whether Jonas died or not? Okay now I understand. So the sequels can be read independently but it contains Jonas! Thanks a lot!!
Exactly. If I remember correctly, Lowry did not intend to continue Jonah's story but had many letters of concern. She wanted the reader to decide. He appears in "Gathering Blue" by Lowry - it's subtle, you need to pay attention. I think he is also in "Son", but I haven't read it yet.
