I agree with this, adding that it may be intentional to try to release the the book and the movie roughly at the same time. I know for Pat, profit maximising is not a top priority any more, but this may be in the repurchase agreement from the movies' guys. Everyone knows the aggregated hype will help both products.
Welcome to mid 2018. Still no sign that he hasn’t sold us out for games and tv shows...
At this point, I'm just gutted, the ending to a song of ice and fire by is going to be done on tv long before even the second to last book comes out, and now...Kingkiller Chronicles is likely to do the same. I love reading, it's the best medium for stories like this...sadly it's not what we're going to get imo.
