I have to respectfully and courteously disagree. To me, Salem's lot underscores just how silly the Rice novels are. King hits the nail on the head. Vamps are evil incarnate.
I am trying to read anne rice right now ... it is just not filling the void Salems lot left!
I agree as well, King makes most other Vampire books, with their glitz look stupid.....or you go the way of something with more grisliness to it--like Let The Right One In....
