Claire Despite the cliché, I still love Kile... and Eric.... if only you could pick both...

message 2: by Tricia (new)

Tricia Oh yes, I ship Eadlyn and Erik all the way! its like unexpected romance just like Aspen and Lucy and Marlee and Carter!

message 3: by Iana (new)

Iana Finally someone who agrees with me! My friends and I have all read The Heir and they're all Team Kile and I'm the lone wolf for Team Erik. They're all like "They kissed already!" and 'It's obvious that they feel something for each other!" and I'm like 'You sure about that? Because that would be TOO PREDICTABLE." Personally, I feel like there's gonna be a plot twist and Erik will be the one Eadlyn chooses. Erik/Eikko, whichever name he uses I'm with him 100000%! :D

Alexandra Justine rudri Vyas i'm pretty sure she will never marry a guard, first, it's Eadlyn's pov if there were something going on with her and a guard we could have spotted that already, second, read first chapters

It's Going to Be Erik, I Have a Powerful Feeling it's Him ;)

After I Read The Heir,I Wrote a Wedding Scene for Book 5, and It's Similar to The Twilight Wedding But Different

[

I’m 19 years old. It’s my wedding day

When I take a look at myself in the mirror, at first glance looks as if my face is free of make-up, but it’s only an illusion. The make-up is done so subtly it looks like it’s not there – but what it does, is accentuate my features, making my eyes look bigger, my lips fuller.

My Face is glowing.

My hair Is pinned neatly into a simple, but graceful bun, My face is framed by a few loose strands of dark hair, they look nearly accidental, but they are not.

I look beautiful.

I selected a gown that, instead of being in a raucous battle with these features, reveals them. Accentuates them. The fabric is made of White cream silk that makes my skin shimmer. I tenderly Touch the beautiful silk of my gown. I ran my fingers lightly over the smooth, soft fabric in wonder. I had never touched something so elegant and so delicate in my life. The creamy fabric pulls in elegant curves across the bodice highlighting the curve of my waist. the skirt in voluminous waves that cascade to the ground, in a snow of chiffon and lace.

My feet shifted in my shoes. They weren't uncomfortable, but I was unspeakably nervous so I had to do something to occupy myself.

The music slowly morphed into a new song.

A sudden fanfare trilled through the soaring music. I recognized my cue.

When we reach the entrance, a hush falls over the enormous crowd inside. They rise to their feet.

Dad pulled my hand through his arm and then grasped it tightly.

One step at a time, I told myself. I Was Walking Up The Aisle.though I could hear the murmurs and rustling of the audience as I came into view. Blood flooded my cheeks at the sound; of course I could be counted on to be the blushing bride.

I was looking for him and searched across the rows of satin-draped chairs - blushing more deeply as I took in the crowd of faces all focused on me - until I found him at last, standing before an arch
At the end of the aisle stands Eric, so straight and strong. My friend, my lover, my chosen life anchor.

All I really saw was Eric's face; it filled my vision then, as he met my awed gaze, he broke into a breathtaking smile .

He wears a crown for the first time in his life, as befits the prince consort. His eyes shimmer.

The march was too slow as I struggled to pace my steps to its rhythm. Mercifully, the aisle was very short. And then, at last, at last, I was there. Erik held out his hand. Dad took my hand and, in a symbol as old as the world, placed it in Erik's.

but I don’t hear a word he says because I’m too busy basking. We made it, Erik and I. We lived. And though our joining merges two regions and saves a nation, this is what I would have chosen for me.
“I love you,” I mouth at him. He just swallows hard and nods.

In that moment, as the minister said his part, my world, which had been upside down for so long now, seemed to settle into its proper position. I looked into Erik's shining, triumphant eyes

I didn't realize I was crying until it was time to say the binding words.

"I do," I managed to choke out in a nearly unintelligible whisper, blinking my eyes clear so I could see his face.

When it was his turn to speak, the words rang clear and victorious.

"I do," he vowed.

The Minister declared us husband and wife, and then Erik's hands reached up to cradle my face, carefully, as if it were as delicate His Brown eyes looked as if they would have tears, too, if such a thing were not impossible. He bent his head toward mine, and I stretched up on the tips of my toes, throwing my arms - bouquet and all - around his neck

...or Fox? Anyway - I prefer Henri, but it most probably it will be Kile, And Ean and Hale can fall in love.

message 7: by Trish (new)

Trish Yes, Erik seems more a appropriate choice for the book.
Why?
1) Maxon defied his father to go for someone low, also someone who wanted to take away the communistic system of the country.
2) America defied the whole system by changing the way the country is.
Now after 20 years the country is at a more riskier war because of the sudden change. so we come to:
3) Eadlyn has her parent's heart, no matter how spoiled she may come forth, but history is going to repeat itself.
4) Erik seems like the one fight more than the other, because of their love and it will defy the whole selection process completely, and why is it that Kiera brought only one person in that can not speak any English, and needs an interpreter, with the same age range and a boy, not a girl. It is a perfect opportunity to fall for someone that smart, handsome, and who can reason like a king. For me he is perfect to defy the country's ways, also her parents' choice.

♥ℂĦℝΪՖƬΪℕÅ I'm with you also when it comes to Erik... (even though hes not actually in it), Henri (but I don't see any real possible future), Kile (sad thing is he doesn't wanna stay at the Palace, so he can pursue his dream) and then there's Hale.

message 9: by Thamires (new)

Thamires Well I don't think Erik is the one who will generates more conflict. First Maxon would support Eadlyn to be with whatever she choose even he wasn't in The Selection if she falls America and him would support her. She barely spent time with Erik he was nice she likes him but I don't see time to develop it in one more book with so MANY other things going on.
Kile is the one who generates more conflict because he wants to leave. He doesn't want to be in the castle. I don't know if she will choose him but It's what I see.

message 10: by Shruti (new)

Shruti There is hope for Erik but I doubt it would be Kile and that would make him stay in the palace.

message 11: by Jess (new)

Jess I think it's going to be Erik.

message 12: by LiN (new)

LiN It's definitely going to be Erik. It's always the people you least exception. And he's so over shadowed by the current men.

message 13: by Maya (new)

Maya I hope its not Erik!!! For some reason I can't stand him... PLEASEEEE be kile. Sometimes cliche is good.

message 14: by Iana (new)

Iana Yup, I think it's Erik. ;)

message 15: by Maggie (new)
