Kevin Kess Might I also ask how or what inspired you to write so many books related to belly dance, as well?

DeAnna Sure! I started taking belly dance classes in college and I became interested in how belly dance evolved and especially how it made its way the U.S. I read everything I could find on the history of belly dance, and that led me to want to share what I'd learned. That's how "The Belly Dancer" came about, and then "Dancing at the Chance" started as a sequel to tell the story of how the belly dancers at the 1893 World's Fair stayed in this country and joined the vaudeville circuit. My new stories focus on the amazing women I've met in belly dance classes, and the unique lives they lead (and romances they have). I hope that answers your question :)

Kevin Kess Have you ever wondered what your life would have been like had you not discovered belly dance?

DeAnna No, not really. I'm sure I would gravitated toward it at some point :)
