Suzy Davies Thank you! I think the mind is more powerful than we think. A case of mind over matter. No other profession claims to have a block so why should we.

Ilana I do not either. I am always able to write, even if my mind is blocked :)

Ronald J Schulz Agree! Sometimes we need to ruminate on the story. Things fall into place or we need another story.

Suzy Davies Yes! The first idea isn't always our best. I like to sleep on it, go for a walk. Any movement seems to get my mind ticking :)

Richard Barr Oh, just keep writing. I find that even if I have no inspiration at all the very active writing get something going in my brain and ideas begin to flow. I also find that sometimes things that I thought was crap the night before miraculously improved when I read them the following day!

Suzy Davies Yes, leaving things on the back burner is an excellent strategy even if it's just overnight.
