I have neither love nor hate for it. I thought it was surprisingly not-as-horrible-as-rumored-to-be when I read it, and I like a lot of the side characters. It's really just the shallow and abusive concept of "love" that disturbs me about it.
Ah but while some view it as abusive some need that control in their life and actually crave it. People like lots of types of relationships and this labelled one. This book was originally going to be within the bdsm genre and while some may find that aspect of relationships controlling others find it endearing and sometimes even attractive
But I do see where you are coming from if that isn't whay you need or look for in a relationship.. But abuse has different margins for different people
