Yes. And the way the end mirrors that moment in the first chapter. I don't have the book in front of me but, in the first chapter he sees lil' Margo through the window and he talks about how the moment ends... and he doesn't remember, because in his mind the moment never ends, they just stare forever... And that's how the book ends. They certainly leave each other, but how isn't clear... because in this book they don't leave each other, they just stare forever.
