And I love Roan!
I love Roan and most of the other characters in the series. I'd love to see more of it. I know he's "retired", but he never truly retires. He's a trouble magnet. Yeah, the SPD might not be calling him to corral cats anymore, but I just can't imagine he's moved to Canada to live a quiet life raising turnips.
In my devious little mind, if Roan's chances of existing are 1 in 2 billion, that means there are 2 others like him in the world. What if Rosenberg calls him one bright day because she has another virus child, parentless just like Roan, who needs a home, not a foster home. Who better to raise a functioning virus child than an adult virus child?
I have thought of this, and yes, there must be others like Roan in the world. But whether they've explored their abilities, and what they exactly do with them - if anything - is an open question. And the foster kid idea is fun, but I can't imagine Roan being anyone's. Whether it's true or not, I think he thinks he'd be a terrible one, due to his own childhood.
I love Roan!!! Thanks for sharing Roan with us and thanks for the Infected series. I love you so much!
Why on earth would you ever consider writing anything about Roan dying??? OMG, Paris was bad enough. Please, don't you dare end Roan. I love him with a purple passion. If you make me cry again.......
Don't worry! As I said, I never really had plans to do so and with everything the way it is now, Roan is pretty much all I can write. Ha! Well, it sort of helps me as a writer that Roan has been through hell and come out the other side, and is still going. It's kind of inspirational for me.
It's 5 years later and just wanted to let Andrea know, I still love Roan 15 years later!!!
Reading Paris was crushing! Please never write about Roan's passing, at least directly. I would really like to read about other possible hybrid children, teens, young adults. I'm not sure if Road will ever be in a position to dispense useful wisdom or not. I hope you'll consider adding to the Infected universe... All the best
