Same thing happened too me about a week ago, though I am in the UK. It said 'We are unable to provide an estimated release date at this time and have cancelled your order' so it may be due to the change in date.

I've checked Amazon again and the only pre-order option is the hardback version. The kindle and paperback is unavailable.

Was able to buy 'Six of Crows' on Amazon about 6 months after the US release date - loved it! I am in Australia so that may have been why the release date was different for me. Still waiting for a kindle release date for 'Crooked Kingdom' on my kindle to be available and can't wait to read it!
