I was in hospital a few years ago, and the audiobooks of the Penric series were an incredible relief from what was going on.
I just keep one of your books in my bag at all times. It is like a comfort blanket.
While recovering from to;tal hip replacement, I read, in reverse order, all the Pen & Des books, then the Sharing Knife quatro, then Gentleman Jole... back to Komarr. Interesting to see a writer's evolultion in reverse perspective.
