@Scott Weatherby: I wish I could like your comment on here. :)
@Lovebooks: Truly, what's not to love? Stalking, control, manipulation, abuse, BDSM relationship done all wrong...yes, I can see your point exactly.
Deciding who she can be friends with? Tracking her cell phone? Deciding what she'll wear? Ignoring the safe word and continuing on? I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this, but hey...that's what makes Goodreads a great place! :)
Ignoring the safe word is part of it? I find that hard to believe. Note to self...never get involved in it if that's the case.
I don't think I ever laughed harder at a comment then I did with yours. So true, keep up the good work.
You don't know that. Somewhere in the world, a bookstore might be on fire. I think that would be God, and He deserves thanks.
Also, I almost forgot, the Dinosaur Lords comes out in July. That is my anticipated summer read. It an epic fantasy with Dinosaurs. So, if anyone wants to have a new book this summer, try to check it out. It looks AMAZING!
You described a perfectly crafted (if by accident) tale of emotional abuse as "a cute love story." That so many people -- especially women and young girls -- feel this way makes me physically ill.
That doesn't make it any less a book about a woman being emotionally abused. And popular =/= good. Sorry, but it doesn't work that way. It's a piece of crap on many levels. If you can't see how it's a book about an emotionally abusive relationship, I hope you never find out why.
That only means there's about a million fat girls in the world who can't get any :( I have the misfortune of having a sister in law that fits that bill exactly.
