Yes, it was a great book, once I adjusted my expectations! There were moments of offbeat humor, but the characters' backstories just kept dragging things down, & the more we found out, the worse it was. Lila's decision at the very end felt "uplifting" because it started a chain reaction of possibilities, but there's no Epilogue so we don't know how that turned out.
