Me too. It is a unique series that would have made a wonderful set of movies in it's original format. Tom is a likable, realistic character, as are all of the other cast of characters. What a shame - once again Hollywood thinks they can do better. They should have checked the fan base (which includes adults) first to find out how sadly, and sorely, they were mistaken.

Amy I have loved this series since I read the first book several years ago. Since then I have recommended it many friends and all are avid fans. We were thrilled to hear about the movie until we saw the trailer. I"m disappointed with the movie without even seeing it yet. I will eventually see it. I do love your audio book versions of the listen to these over and over. Christopher Evan Welch does an excellent job with Tom Ward!

BrightSideofDeath Agreed. I love the books and was very disappointed in the movie. The movie in itself is neither great nor horrible, but knowing how much better it could be if they stayed true to the books makes it seem worse than it is. Someday I'd love to see a TV series made that gets right.

E Mm, the movie would be much better if they had kept more from the books...

Jennifer I didn't even finish the film knowing 20 minutes in it was a total disappointment. I went reread the whole apprentice series while crying how they disappointed me.
