Huh. Now that’s something I hadn’t thought about. I don’t know!
Rose had the coat, and the gun still in the pocket, which she used to kill Emily. She then put the coat (and gun) in the trunk with Emily's body to hide the evidence. How the cash Peter gave Emily wound up in the coat pocket, I don't understand.
