Donna Thompson Hi Sarah-
Thanks so much for the explanation. I think those names are unique too and am very interested in where you came up with them.

I've always like Fleur from the time I first read the Forsyte Saga. The only similarity is in the fact that your stories and those are both sprawling family sagas with multiple characters. But that's all. If you enjoy immersing yourself in those types of stories, you'll like the Forsyte saga.

After I wrote you yesterday, I realized I was confusing Remy with Renny, from the Jalna series. Another multiple book saga by Mazo de la Roche. But I do like the name Remy as well. That's a great name.

I always like to see the names that authors come up with and notice especially when they use ones that are unique and unusual, like yours.

Well, thanks again for your time and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Donna

Sarah Cradit I'm also a huge fan of sprawling family sagas. Writing one is as fun as reading one!

Naming characters, for me, is always a very deliberate exercise. Like us humans, they have to live with them, so have to make it count! I'm always bumping names up against their meanings and origins. Sometimes I pick them because the name seems to fit; others because the meaning of the name matters.

Have a great rest of your day!
