I agree … but to me it's bittersweet that he doesn't find this out for many years (when he finally gets the notes, at the end of his career).
Bankson is given Nell's writing in 1938 (five years after leaving New Guinea) by Helen, Nell's old lover. She and Bankson are in Copenhagen for a conference.
