Superbambi Well, then I'm very excited! Fantasy is still a genre that doesn't have all the representation I'd like it to have (although I mean thrillers are really really far behind), but you writing it is certainly contributing to its expansion, so thanks! Very excited indeed.

Lucy Holland Thank you both! I am desperately excited about the new book and can't wait to tell everyone more about it. It's probably the closest I've come to telling a love story so that's exciting and also a learning curve for me :) Expect lots of poetry, harps, epic landscapes, and even some spice!

Superbambi I'm so excited! And since this appears to be Christmas and I'm getting everything my heart desires, do you have any aro, ace, nonbinary (or agender) or a combination of the three, characters in the works?

Lucy Holland Sistersong has an additional major bi-gender character who also appears in their fully non-binary form in Song of the Huntress, out in a few days time. Ace rep is something very close to my heart, so one of the protagonists in Huntress (the king, Ine) is asexual. Ine learning to be honest about his identity and how it affects his role as king (and his marriage) in a heavily gendered era is a big part of the book.
