There was also the comment when Cassandra confronted Meredith if she was sleeping with Martin, she said something along the lines of "he forgot to put his ring back on" or something like that, and in the beginning of the book, Shelby said "he took his ring off and set it on the dash" Shelby and Martin were the affair partners for sure!
Also that he would put his ring on the dash board and Marty wouldn’t have his ring on.
