I think if it hadn't been for Georgette Heyer I might never have found first the Vorkosigan Saga and later the remainder of your books, Lois. I kept seeing mentions on a Georgette Heyer email discussion list, especially mentioning A Civil Campaign, and at some point I decided to jump in and sample, and now I have read and also listened to them all multiple times (as I have also with almost all of Heyer's books.) Relating this to the cover discussion on the main blog posting, both sets of books have had cover art that I love and other cover art that leaves me feeling neutral and a few that I dislike, but that wouldn't keep me from purchasing the book. I will admit in my life to buying extra copies of books I enjoy because I find a copy with cover art I love, but as eyesight issues have pushed me more to eBooks where I can adjust the font size and audiobooks that I don't have to look at, that hasn't been happening as often.

It's just the opposite for me. Discovering that Lois liked Georgette got me to reading Georgette. I love the humor in her romances, but find the mysteries are too predictable (which doesn't matter with romances).

Same as Howard - Lois led to Georgette. I enjoy a "Heyer" (some of them), but a "Lois" is a life event for me.

Elizabeth Peters / Barbara Michaels led me to Lois (someone in a chat referenced "Where have you been, woman?" I was immediately hooked. And Lois led me to Georgette. Such a joy!
