I also enjoyed him in NCIS. Didn't you also base Ilyan on him at least partially?
Partial name steal, other elements pretty attenuated. Illyan, like most of my characters, became himself pretty quickly once I set him in motion.

I also preferred Ilia to Napoleon Solo, as I did Spock to Jim Kirk. So sad to learn of his passing.

I thought they were both SO dreamy.
