Cliche maybe... BUT those dream images are powerful (ask Carl Jung!) and they pack a lot of life in them, which then comes out in the story!
That's a very good point. I seldom remember dreams in any detail. I try to scrawl something down when I first wake up, but my writing is usually unreadable at that time in the morning!
Rhoda ~ same here, except I try to put whatever I remember on the computer (a little more legible, then, but not much... it's still way too early). But somehow whatever it is will bring back some of the... aura?... of the dream, and I think that's what the energy comes from.
