He did have her buried at sea. Maybe it was a cover up or maybe an act of revenge?
Jeff, I think it was both an act of revenge and a cover-up to have her buried at sea. It was to ensure no autopsy could discover the real cause of her death (I suspect blunt force trauma that caused a miscarriage and internal bleeding). But I think it was also a final act of rage against her. She threw his flute into the sea, gone forever, so he threw her body in after it.
I didn't get that impression. I just thought she died from a miscarriage and hemorrhage and that he had her buried at sea - I didn't pick up that much malice. I know he was jealous of her and she did throw the flute into the sea. But how could he have murdered her if the death was caused by her pregnancy?
