Sorry, that doesn't wash with me.Even if there is not a conclusive ending to a book, it seemed in this one that the author ran out of ideas which would have drawn the thread of ephemeral beauty through to the very end. The thread didn't have to be tied in a definitive knot, but at least tide together enough to convince us that the same person wrote the ending as wrote the rest.
