That makes sense. Sometimes they can be a bit too powerful. I still like that their powers are unique.
When reading these books I always thought that writing about people with the gift would be difficult. I feel like it was probably hard to save your protagonists at certain points when up against the Lunars. But I agree with Carmen - you did a wonderful job making such a complicated idea work. :) I loved the Lunar Chronicles books immensely!
You made it work perfectly and I can see the amount of effort that went into writing the battle scenes in Winter. Kudos to you!
I wouldn't have changed a thing about your books! They were perfect and I loved the struggle for power. It added so many layers and made it more realistic in my mind.
While I agree the gift should have been a bit less powerful, I thought you worked around that wonderfully. I can see that you took that lesson learned and applied it to Heartless. Which was a wonderful book. I like it was your best book yet!
It's really cool to look back at your work and see how it could be improved. All the same I really enjoyed your work :)
I've read these books twice and I think the powers the Lunars had made the series so addictive. I'm glade the books were written the way they were.
Im glad then you don't get the chance to do that. I've read the series innumerable times and i think the powers make sense in the way they are. They make lunars somewhat see acutely possible. I loved the series soooooo much!!
I was surprised that the gift allowed the user to make someone speak words out loud. Until Winter, it seemed like that wasn't technically an option so it felt like a bit of a surprise there, though its not like it was a key twist or anything, I just wasn't expecting it.

I LOVED THE LUNAR CHRONICLE SERIES! You shouldn't change a THING about them! I hope you keep writing books!
