Bettie Actually I thought the idea of Fleming becoming a priest was also disconcerting. As I recall, Ganache speaks with an Anglican bishop for a reference of some sort. I have a bit of experience with the Anglican Church of Canada, and I can't imagine that they would ordain someone without thoroughly checking their references and going through a pretty deep and challenging process that takes years, nor would the bishop appoint him someplace without more thought than that his wife wanted him to be there. Other than that I did enjoy the book.

Evio Hi Bettie. I can relate to what you’re saying but Zi may be more cynical about it overall. The Catholic Church hadn’t done a very job of vetting members of their clergy from sadistic nuns to predatory priests! Sociopaths can be so convincing.
