ken tiedeman sr I have read several of his novels and recently completed "The Job". It was written 105 years ago and a lot of the same work issues are still happening. You both have a way of telling stories about the quirks of human behavior which is just timeless. In my profession I have customers who want a fence to keep the coyotes out of their yards and I just want to say "have you ever read the Tortilla Curtain"? Thank you for your response and I really enjoy your works of literature.

T. Boyle That is the beauty of revisiting novels of a given period. When writing books like "The Road to Wellville," e.g., I found period novels most enlightening. Dreiser comes to mind, as well as Lewis.

ken tiedeman sr I have never read any Dreiser. Which one would you recommend?
