Judith No, I think Sam's an introvert who becomes emotionally closed off due to the multiple traumas in his life. Trouble connecting doesn't mean he's "on the spectrum."

Phyllis Meredith I agree with James, Sam is not on the spectrum, but actually, Sadie may be. It is harder to see in girls/women. Sam had a huge trauma at a very young age and has a hard time showing vulnerability. While neither character is good at communicating, Sadie has a much harder time connecting with the emotions of others or being true to herself about her own feelings and emotions. Obviously, I can't diagnose either of them as being on the spectrum, I truly do not believe Sam is.
