That's not... at all, in any way accurate. I'm distinctly NOT praising his work, because instead of doing his job like he promised he's off working on video games and publicity tours. We gave him money and fame in buying the first two books, and he's repaid us by not caring about completing the story.
Eric,man,if you didnt like the book,you wouldnt be complaining about book 3 taking this long.You must realize something.Some people cant work 15 hours a day.They just cant.And writing is a process.
The thing with his Kingkiller Chronicles is that he wrote a story over 16 years ago.More or less,original skeleton of the story is still in there,but it has been improved like 1000 times.Many of the characters wherent even in there (Ambrose for example).
Dont get me wrong,i wish he could "revise" a bit faster,especially that im not that good with reading books in english so i have to wait some extra time for translation. Imagine my tragedy.
