Yes, remember that. It just seemed like the book was all about the pain that this one (innocent ) person went through and then when the truth was discovered, the guilt was so easily dismissed.

Yes, I think it was Ava's decision to close the case.
the mother didn't have to do shit. The state could have made a plea deal. When someone CONFESSES they can get arrested. It's pretty simple. Trust me, my family went through this shit.
