I was wondering why "Better Off Dead" didn't read like Lee Child's previous books. I love the Jack Reacher series, but it doesn't have the excitement of the character like it used to. Thanks, Fran, for sharing this info. I guess I'll have to find another good author.
"No Plan B" is a better effort…but still not the quality and character I expect from a Reacher tale.
If Lee Child still had a hand/voice/choice in what his brother does with Reacher's character development, I might be willing to give it another chance, but it's clear to me that after two books with Andrew's name on it, Reacher is a zombie of his former self. It was too painful reading Better Off Dead to put up with another masochistic read. Good luck, ladies.
