Thank you for that fact about the time spent on textiles. Few writers (no others that I have read) acknowledge this. As I read Hild, it was one of the details that I loved—always a spindle at hand.
as someone who's a textile artist and weaver (and that's part of why i enjoyed hild so much!), that's amazing to hear!!!
