I read it when I was 8 and LOVED it !!
I read it in elementary school and remember liking it as well. Now that I've read it again, I'm pretty sure I must have read one of those watered-down, as-told-by editions. The actual thing is pretty awful.
I just started reading it to my 9 yr old grandson. We are halfway through it. When he comes over again, we will finish it. I enjoy it, I think he does too. It teaches you to look at your surroundings, use your brain, pray for help and God will answer you.
I'm a current sophomore undergraduate student who has read it twice now for British Lit classes and can confirm, it is indeed boring.
I am a former high school English teacher with two bachelor degrees and finishing a master’s in English. Can confirm, this is the most dreadful book I’ve ever had the misery of reading in my entire life.
Sry Mrs. Ellis, I am 29 and got an M.s.c in Computer Science but Robinson Crusoe keeps wasting my time. I mean who is building a boat for months just to figure out that he can't lift it up to the ocean?
