How about the constant "gun" "gun" "gun"? Did that bother you too? She's a woman good w/a gun. A woman who's in charge of telling the guy what to do. Does "woman" "woman" "woman" bother you too? My state has avoided some of the trageic deaths by being better about masking. And we have a HUGE tax surplus that most states don't. Cause the state is rational.
Renee is a police officer. Of course she carries a gun. The comparison makes no sense.
Some cops never actually shoot their gun, that's a fact of life. But there's lots of attention to her being such a great marksman. Gun Gun Gun. If you read the book you read THAT.
