Jason George, I mostly agree with you, as a ton of great ideas are built on those that came before. But what gets me is that she doesn't acknowledge this book at all, which provides the game that everything is built around. The rest is window dressing. She says it came to her one night while channel surfing. http://www.slj.com/2008/09/authors-il... Maybe. Simultaneous ideas have poped up on different places in the world throughout history. But now? With Battle Royale being out so long before? I don't buy it.

George Pawley Jason I agree with what you are saying, however it is possible that there might be a chance, however small it is, that she actually thought of it herself. However most likely she did get the idea off of battle royale, and when people questioned her about the similarities she got defensive, and claimed the hunger games came from something else. Also, did u find out about batle royale because of the hunger games? That's how I did, so in my opinion it is not a very well known book. But, I still think that Suzzane copied Battle Royale
