I just finished the book and I hated that Grace stayed with him in the end. I know it's realistic and it happens, but I wish the bookclub dealt with him too.
There was an "attempt" at redeeming him, with the idea that he stopped drinking, but yeah that definitely wasn't good enough. He needed his ass kicked.
