Ben M. Thank you

Wade Harrison I think I disagree... I read mostly scifi (but also love history and historical fiction so maybe that makes me an exception) and I thought this was both a great historical novel and a great scifi novel and much more. The scifi aspect that hit me hardest was not the spaceship but the virtual reality version of Google Earth, which had been hacked to reveal uncomfortable truths. I thought that was brilliant and fun.

Jan Z The future parts are definitely science fiction. Living in a pod, with a sentient computer, food replicators, distopian future, able to "correct the behavior of the undesireables remotely" is science fiction. If the science is that there now, it is science fiction.
