Loved BTK in the end. Was loving it when I asked the ?. As time travel takes us out of the realm of actual science, there is no right or wrong answer. Really was just wondering if you were of one camp or another in the sci-fi treatment. I actually would really have enjoyed a story of how the Tearling moved forward under Queen Kelsey if the magical/time travel solution had not been in play. Would she have found a way to navigate the challenges? Could she lead some sort of hard reboot of society in the wake of the conflicts? I really loved her character. Part of why BTK appealed so was the return to the problem-solving aspect w/o so much reliance on the deus ex machina of the sapphires.
