But neither of those is coastal. As the novel mentions, “One of them had an uncle who owned a bungalow off the beach.” So clearly this is intended to be Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. A simple error that could have been fixed.

Agreed - plus the Delaware spelling matches the book, Rehoboth, not Rehobeth.
