Serj Are there any books on writing you would personally recommend?

Dennis Taylor Two of the most useful to me were: Punctuation by G. Miki Hayden, and Self-Editing for Fiction Writers by Renni Browne. I've heard good things about the how-to books by Stephen King and Orson Scott Card.
Just remember that everything is an opinion, including most of the "rules", so get multiple opinions. And cruise sites like absolutewrite.com . A lot.
