It's interesting that you think "Gone Girl" is a commentary on society. Pretty sad commentary given that there weren't any characters with a drop of the milk of human kindness. (Well, I guess they could be kind... but only if there was something in it for them.)
I am going to read "The Girl on the Train" (not sure if it's out yet) because there is just too much about it that sounds intriguing. (less)
