Carro Thanks for your long and detailed answer. I've been to look at Final Fantasy XIV front end, ditto Portal, Uncharted and Edith Finch. (I am on a Linux PC). Portal is possibly the nearest to one I could fancy but not quite....
I really enjoyed the description of the game Cazandra's mother plays in In Arcadia - largely gentle puzzles. As in not having a punch out or having to leap about a lot - and being able to enjoy the scenery. Or The Book of Firsts and the music and the aolian towers twining around each other.
Looking at what you've recommended, I can see the gorgeous graphics, and the puzzles, but it strikes me as a bit dark or violent or just too energetic for me at the moment (e.g. Portal 2). Edith Finch sounded promising but it starts with multiple deaths.... What I was hoping for was something engaging that I could stroll through rather than fight through as an antidote on a winter's evening after a day of insufficient sun. The House Flippers would be entertaining except I spent years decorating houses and if I never see another paint brush.....:) And we live on a smallholding, so I've got real sheep and chickens :).
Sorry to be a bit of a wet blanket after all the effort you went to. I thought it polite to give you a proper response on your answer. I'll have to hope for the next generation of games. And I hope there is one with the equivalent of an electric cart, so I can sit and be totally idle as the scenery goes past......:D
