I recently finished two more novels with a similar ending (getting away with murder). It’s hard to digest after reading 300 pages for an ending like that.
Yes! I did not find it believable that the woman could be so likable to EVERYONE in Jake's life. I also think she's brave/careless for being in such a public position at the end of the novel given that if anyone in her hometown sees her picture, they will know who she is.
I couldn't understand how she could fake it for that long.
It was completely unbelievable, and annoying. I was very disappointed with the ending.
