Jill Agree I think Elle was just human. I wanted her to choose Jonas but I also feel for Peter. and I wanted even a one page Epilogue

Rozenn Leard I agree with you, she follows her heart and soul (Jonas) although she also loves deeply Peter. Throughout the book you can feel Elle and Jonas' profound connection, how they can sit in silence comfortably, their love and feel for the place too, how their story was stopped by Conrad's death and the guilt. Rosemary's revelation is a catalyst that allows Elle to forgive herself and Jonas for Conrad's death and to start telling her story. Wallace also tells Elle she should give it a try, even though it is a huge risk that may not work out in the end. It is interesting that some couples in the book went through a long separation and went back together, Leo and his ex-wife, Dixon and Andrea, so there is room for further developments. I also felt very sad for them all.
