Angela I truly loved your author/merlin series and was also disappointed when as you were just becoming one of my favorites I couldn't find your work on any of my book worm outings. I'm also just becoming more aware of the internets as a venue for readers and authors alike. I look forward to seeing what you have in store for us.

A.A. Attanasio Your love for my series, The Perilous Order of Camelot, disengages me from the hurtling fall of time for a graceful moment: What a genuine joy to know that my fiction endures for readers! Thanks, Angie, for taking a moment to affirm this companionship with our most ancient human comfort: story.

Brian Kehler Thanks for such an extended and substantive reply! I'm so sorry to hear about your bad luck with publishers and I'm baffled at how a writer of your obvious caliber would be cut from any publisher's list of authors. Gotta love those giant corporations, eh? Your work deserves to be read!

By the way, the book I remember the most from back then, besides the Camelot and Radix books, is that nearly perfect gem of a novel "Kingdom of the Grail." It's a masterpiece.

A.A. Attanasio Coincidentally, Brian, I’m currently revising “Kingdom of the Grail” for its next edition as an e-book at Amazon. Originally titled “Kingdom of the Grail” when first published in 1992, my historical romance about identity, faith and romantic love set at the time of Richard the Lion Heart got confused a couple years later with my Arthurian fantasies, “The Perilous Order of Camelot,” in which the Holy Grail features prominently. I renamed my historical “Kingdom” when I first released the e-book edition last year. Turns out, several novels bear that title. On this go-round, I’m using a title that Dr. Google assures me is … novel: “Servant of Birds.”

Brian Kehler Awesome! I can't wait to see it!

Roger 'Servant of Birds" is a beautiful title.

Emmylou Kotzé I got hold of one of your books in such a roundabout way. I live in South Africa, and in 2022 I was on holiday with my in-laws and we stopped at a restaurant in the small town of Clarens.

They had a huge collection of second-hand books and your novel "The Dark Shore" caught my eye. It was a book-box deal where you could take whatever books you wanted as long as you left some in return, so I took your book along for the rest of the holiday.

I remember starting to read the sentence, "The power of the witch is in her hair..." in the middle of a rainstorm in the Drakensberg. I couldn't put the book down and have often come back to it since. It's easily one of the top 3 standalone fantasy novels I have ever read. "Enthralling" doesn't even begin to describe it - I was absolutely gripped by that book and turned upside-down and inside-out.

I couldn't find anything about you online or any other works (although I did pick up Radix recently, again, at a second-hand bookshop) and so I just wanted to say hi and let you know how moved I was by your work. I was going to send this as an ask but I guess it was too long!

I find it really hard to read onscreen - I always prefer a physical book - and so I'd like to know if you're planning to release any of your catalogue as print-on-demand?
