I am so sorry that I just can't agree that your characters are anything like Jack Reacher . I don't think your characters are similar to any others . The style or genre in which you write is similar and , yes, most of your favorite literature will influence you're writing, but your characters often emulate unique combinations of real people that you may have known, met, and imagined. They usually come from your very unique subconscious. That is my opinion and is what makes a book unique and different from other authors. You create art in the characters and settings and plot . Good art is not copied or it would be plagiarized . I guess this guy just wanted to know what works you liked that could have influenced you to write this genre because you are an artist as a unique writer. I am just a little protective when people compare good artists. Sometimes they can be insults. Sometimes you may feel a compliment. Caution all critics !!! HA! But he did say you were trying to emulate the Jack Reacher series . I do not like that implied statement! HA! You deserve much better .
Really, really want more Camel Club. Please??
