Also for anybody who wants to know, due to the epic swearing and vulgarity in The Martian, a special edition was printed WITHOUT IT. I know, I bought it to compare and contrast them. It didn’t really take anything away from the story to leave it out, but I suppose it “defanged” Annie’s character somewhat because she pretty much based her entire personality on her extreme crudity.
